THE NEW WEEKEND VIBES!

.....And i'm....back

Unfortunately, i couldn't post any event last week sorry about that. I was spending time working on our instagram page @thelagosweekender (make sure to follow).

Anyway, this weekend is looking super cool, there are several exciting events to look out for and you sure would not want to miss a thing.

MUSIC UNPLUGGED THURSDAY

Let's set the mood for the weekend at Fuse Lounge. Its going to be another thursday of live rap music, karaoke, fun and games. The music unplugged thursday starts at 5pm at Fuse Sports bar, 46, Saka tinubu, Victoria island. And hey there is free wifi.

ROCK WITH DABYNA  

Tonight is Rock night with Dabyna son of rock at Spice Route, Adeola Odeku,Victoria Island. It's a wild night of live rock music so come with your screaming ability.

SAX APPEAL

India Arie is coming to Nigeria! It's her first time in the country and its sure going to be a soulful night. This is specially for lovers of Soul. The concert is also featuring saxophonist, Mike Aremu, Timi Dakolo and Praiz. It's taking place at Eko hotel and suites. Be sure to get your tickets.

DJ OBI

It's DJ Obi on this one. He's about to set a new world record of the longest D.J set which is going to take him about 9 days straight.  Want to know if he's up to it? come and show some love and support as he plays at Sao cafe at  Prince Adelowo Adedeji street, off Admiralty way, Lekki phase 1 from Wednesday 22nd down till 1st of July. Lets bring this home guys.

ROCK WITH MR P

Mr Peter of Psquare will be entertaining guests with live music at our favourite spot,Hard Rock Cafe. Entry is 5k only. It's great bargain to watch one half of Psquare and it comes with a free drink as well. I really hope he'll be doing Psquare hits so we can start practising our alingo moves.

JAZZHOLE LIVE PERFORMANCE

I really would love to go for this. Its a perfect night to mingle with artistic people and groove to our very own brand of music. The very legendary Jimi Solanke will be serving folk songs and tales at Jazzhole.

PENCIL UNBROKEN

Pencil is set to do something different with his concert which will be set in Broadway musical style. We can't wait to see the comic magic he's about to perform. It's going to be a night of laughter and total entertainment.

ULTRA WAVES

Dvb is putting together a weekly dance party called Ultra Waves saturdays It's the official launch so get ready to hurt your feet from dancing. I can guarantee you cool people as well. It's hosted at Nitro nightclub on Adeola Hopewell, Victoria Island Lagos. On the wheels are D.J Deck, DJ Bristar, DJ Smallz, D.J Tribe and DJ Rome.

AFRICAN PRAISE EXPERIENCE

If you're not going to be clubbing on friday night, then you should be at African Praise Concert. Expect a night of pure praise, inspitional and soul lifting songs by the biggest gospel stars in the country.

FALANA UNCOVERED POP UP CONCERT SERIES

Falana Uncovered series, live music from talented soul star Falana which explores the stories, sound,style of her music. The pop up concert will hold at 16. Karimu kotun street, Victoria Island, Lagos(Iamisigo store)

LAGOS LIVE

Be part of an artistic weekend filled with total theatre, pure dance and different art forms in Lagos this weekend. Lagos Live is back with series of events and programmes. Performances from Qudus Onikeku, Crown Troupe of Africa, Kininso Koncepts, Panafrican space station, Theatre Im Bahnhof. Visit Goethe institut on Facebook for events schedule and live updates.
