Jump to the Weekend!!!

Hey there, I believe we are on top of our goals and pushing through it all regardless of the situation of the country and I'm rest assured that June is a promising month.

It's quite sad that we have had a few deaths in the passing days and I just want to say that May the souls of the departed rest in perfect peace.

It's another #thoughtday for me however, I just realised how much people had to say about those that passed on recently; Muhammad Ali, The greatest, Stephen Keshi and the two CU graduates. I then began to question my existence and ask myself, what impact would i want to leave in this world? Or more importantly, what I wish to be remembered for. No matter what we do we need to begin seeing everyday like it's our last; Do our best to impact people's lives; Help each other and fulfill our God given purpose so that at the end of it all people will be able to remember us for our good deeds. And even so, our Father in heaven will recognise our presence when we meet him.

So I'm going to ask you. What are the steps you are taking to live a purpose driven life? It's very important to be aware of that.

 

Anyway, back to the main business, here are the events to attend this wonderful weekend. Be sure to catch any of them if not all.

Moet and chaddon will be hosting series of parties in one day at different spots in Lagos and I heard they are also doing that in the United States, So make efforts to get tickets to attend the brunch taking place at our favourite spot, Hard Rock Cafe on saturday from 12pm and be sure to catch the after party later on at Escape night life which is on Adeola Odeku, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Stranger Lagos will be hosting a game night today. So come along with your friends to compete in several board and card games. Stranger Lagos is at No, 3, Hakeem Dickson street, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.Costs 1000Naira only.

This is good news to me giving the fact that I never knew people held yoga classes in Lagos. Here is one, Yoga with Stacey which is in collaboration with art space, Stranger (3, Hakeem Dickson street,Lekki Phase 1) Its sure to be fun.

In honour of its Maker Library project launch, Stranger will be hosting Paper Making and Bag Making classes this weekend. It is great if you are looking to learn new skills in arts and craft, which I most definitely love.

Women's wear brand, Wannifuga will be celebrating its 2yr anniversary this Sunday.  Please come out to support, especially women and also pick one or two items for the wardrobe. Venue is at Zazaii store Balarabe Musa crescent, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Another fashion event, DOS Clothings unveils its 2016 summer collections. It's going to be a time well spent networking and meeting like minded people over horsd 'oeuvre. Venue is 30, Norman williams street, Ikoyi,Lagos.

For the rock lovers out there if you missed Live Rock by Rock band Dabyna at Spice Route, Adeola Odeku on Thursday then you can bring all your energy to City Mall, Onikan Lagos to witness Nigeria's biggest Rock bands live in performance. Come looking like rockstar!

Nitro night life would be hosting 'Do something' crooner Koker tonight.

It's another edition of Bollywood nights. Come experience  Bollywood performances and cultural display at Spice Route, Adeola Odeku, Victoria Island. DJ Gaurav will be spinning the wheels with Bollywood music, Bangor, house electro and more.

 

Goethe institut will be showing movies by talented director Newton Aduaka at the Nigerian Film Corporation beside Voice of Nigeria in Ikoyi and guess what it's absolutely free.

Airtel trace star will be unveiling it's 2016 winner this Saturday at Ultimate Studios, Lekki and guess who is going to be head judge, the very fly Miss Keri baby! Keri hilson! Meets is a forum to celebrate June 12 with media personalities, it is a cool way to network with media people and to remember the events that led to June 12.

This saturday promises to be a swell one at Sheraton as Ciroc celebrates Soul with live soul music by the amazing band Soul Fusion. But I must warn you, you have to be there early as it's usually filled with lovers of soul. You are going to love it.
