Sao and the Muse2: Issa Lagos Cool kids vibe!

We had the most fab time two weekends ago at Sao Cafe. Sao and the Muse took over Lagos social media the buzz was just enough for us to go check it out.
Sao Cafe became a familiar name to me after DJ Obi broke the Guinness World Record at the restaurant which was featured on here of course. Although We did not see him play at the time, We penned Sao cafe on our Lagos living Bucket List. We soon realised Sao and the Muse was a good reason to check out the restaurant itself.
So, What is Sao and the Muse?
Sao and the muse is a two day art event which started last year curated by Nicole Asinugo and Emmanuel Ogabi. Featuring different artists and live performances: More like a fusion of arts and music. This years's edition even had art classes and artists like Mr Wentz(Photographer)Dennis Osadebe(Painter)Dipo Doherty John Madu Anti.Design Fredrick Archibong, Niyi Okeowo Painter August Udoh, Show Dem Camp, Kaline, The Yellow of Lagos, Daniel Obasi.
Although, we  could not attend any of the workshops, we did two amazing evenings at Sao Cafe that we would definitely love to relive.
The first evening was quite soulful thanks to, Kaline who performed some of her songs while we enjoy the restaurant's menu ( Love love the chills )We had complimentary drinks courtesy by Absolut Vodka of course and some canapes on the house. It was a pleasant start to the weekend.
The following evening was when we concluded that the Sao and the Muse was definitely full of  the Lagos cool kids vibe. We were able to soak in almost all that was out exhibiting. It was clearly an evening of networking, enjoying arts, relaxing and mixing with the cool kids of Lagos. We visited the art market in the premises, enjoyed silent disco with some new friends, met up with a couple of old friends took cool pictures by the Junk car made pretty courtesy Painter Abe and selfies with Anti. Design's mirror installation.

It's our fave time of the week! You know what it is.
I started weekending yesterday at Sao and the muse! Curated by Sao cafe Lagos! It was all I expected and even more. I've been soaking up a lot of art recently and its been an amazing art experience. You can catch the highlights of yesterday's run on our Instagram stories. And if you missed it too bad however there's still one last chance today. It's the final show and I'm sure it would be the biggest because SDC will be performing! Say what! All good vibes tonight. There's an art market, art installation and even silent disco! You should come in early too I'm sure the place will be pretty packed tonight. Complimentary drinks await you on  arrival but you can also buy from the menu at the restaurant at a friendly price.
Anyway, apart from Sao there's also silent disco tonight, Eko fitness festival tomorrow and a whole bunch of other events to make your weekend interesting.

LIVE LAGOS: The Beauty Souk Experience!

I was lucky to attend The Beauty Souk last Sunday. I say Lucky because I am sure a lot more people wanted to attend but they could not come out because of the flood.
It is no longer news that Victoria island/Lekki axis was heavily flooded on Saturday. Several events got cancelled and a lot of people had to stay indoors. I was going to stay in but I took the bold step when I saw the event update on the Beauty Souk stories on Instagram.  Fortunately the roads were dry and I could not even imagine that they were actually flooded the day before. I also felt that would cause a low turn out but amazingly everyone came out for the event.

Kudos to Eventful Nigeria for putting it together and of course Diamond TV for supporting we can't wait for the next edition. It was an eventful day from masterclasses to Celebrity appearances sales at the vendors booth and Good vibes from DJ Butterr. Here are pictures from the event.

Weekend Style Inspiration: Denim Weekend!

It's Wet, Wavy  Weekend over here!
Apparently, Lekki is trending today. No thanks to the rains/flood. This just means a lot of people will stay indoors this weekend. But I trust Lagos and to always turn up when it's time! Flood or no flood.

#LiveLagos: Wet, Wavy Weekend!

It's the weekend Lagos!
The rains have come upon us. But we ain't complaining!  This week was just a whole week of showers. And it's looking like it will be the same all weekend! But not too worry, most of the events this weekend are indoors so you can still have fun regardless of the weather!
Last weekend was a total lituation. Remy Martin All star extravaganza, Bailey's Bake Fest and of course my trip to Abuja. (I'll be writing on that so stay peeled)
This weekend, I am going to be at two interesting shows and probably do a review as well. Mr Eazi's concert at Shrine and Beauty Souk at Harbour Point Lagos!
If you're going to be attending either of these events let me give you few of my tips to get you ready.
If you are going for the show at African shrine,  prepare to be baptized with smoke! lol.
Wear comfortable clothing. Note:If you're not streets or not ready to be streets on the night,  then don't bother coming. Have enough cash for drinks and to buy things to munch during the show. Do not carry too many valuables and make sure you come early enough so you can get a good place to sit.(which won't be for long when the show starts anyway)
For Beauty Souk there will be lots of beauty vendors so if you like good things you can empty your Piggy bank for this trust me. You don't want to just window shop. Be ready to learn to as the masters of the trade will be giving lessons.

Let's enjoy the weekend!
