Wow! 

Weekend already! I am really excited about this weekend!(I'm always excited every weekend! lol) There's a whole lot happening in Lagos this weekend. Let me warn you though! Chances are there would be lots of traffic on the island on Saturday because of the Eyo festival taking place at Tafawa Balewa square.

So you might want to schedule your outings till later in the evening. (Like me) You might want to attend the Eyo festival to experience the rich culture of Lagos! A superb way to LiveLagos!

Friday 19th

LITERARY CROSSROADS

Some of the presently flying African figures in World Literature will be hosting at the Goethe Institut Lagos for the 5th edition of Literary Crossroads. Ayobami Adebayo, whose debut novel Stay With Me has just been shortlisted for the prestigious Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction,

and Yewande Omotoso, South African based Nigerian writer, who was also found by the Baileys' searchlight earlier this year, and whose acclaimed novel Bom Boy won South African Literary Award for First-Time Published in 2012, will be on a moderated platform to discuss Literature across African borders. The event starts at 12 pm and it is free to attend at the Goethe institute, City Hall, Lagos Island.

CBL TOURNAMENT (MAY MADNESS)

The Second week of the CBL basketball tournament will kick off on Friday 19th May at Teslim Balogun stadium.You can visit cblafrica.net for more deets. If  I am attending i'll be attending for the handsome hunks playing.

Saturday 20th

SHOP N SIP

SWING JAZZ

SWING & JAZZ is an evening of dance and jazz music featuring a mini production choreographed and directed by Sarah Chollet , a certified ballet instructor with over 2 decades experience , in classical dance and broadway / cabaret performance with an extensive portfolio in directing French adverts and dance shows. PLANT PLANET OPENING

Planet will be opening its doors on Saturday. Stop by for some healthy treats, wraps, smoothies, juices, icecream and more. it promises to be fun! venue is Luik recreation club, Block 13, House 1, The Rock drive, Lekki phase one.

REISPAR CONFERENCE

GLENFIDDICH PRESENTS BEZ AND BRYMO LIVE @ 

This is one event i'm sooo stoked about! I will be attending so look out for the updates on my instagram stories on saturday if you can't make it. Show is at Lagos Motor boat club, Awolowo  road, Ikoyi. Looking forward to a good time with Brymo and Bez I mean does it get any better?

POWERBALL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

Power ball football tournament is a yearly football 5 a side against drug abuse featuring university football teams, celebrity matches, and performances. Entry is absolutely free so come through for a good time. I think it's a perfect time to rep your football club too. Up Enyimba!! The venue is Shell Kinetic Turf Federal College of Education, Akoka, Yaba.

Kicking off on Sunday! Fabrics and Dye is a six-week exhibition to discover our Nigerian-made textiles from farm to fabrics. Learn about our cotton, our silk (yes we have silk!), our looms and the different kinds of patterns, fabrics & dyes we have in Nigeria.

JASON PORSHE SS17 POP UP

Jason Porshe presents its Posh Collection Viewing and sales. This Pop-up is one of the several events lined up towards the launch of the Jason Porshe Showroom in July. There would be awesome discounts and giveaway. The best part is guests will be serenaded by music from Ric Hassani, Praiz(is anybody drooling yet?) and Byno.
