Events for a merry weekend!

It's Friyay Lagos! How has the week been at your end? Wet and wild?! Slow and steady?!
Anyway, the week is done and here we are embarking on a three day weekend journey! Let's ride!! Is it me or we have a lot of public holidays in this country. Not that I am complaining tho! i dare not! I love it!
So this weekend is a 'censored' one because it's Children's day on Saturday so there would be so many kids running around. Let's not forget to show extra love to the little ones around us. There is a lot of children's day activities all around town that you can choose from. Not to worry, adults also get to have fun this Sunday because it's a work free Monday!!  Yeah! It's Democracy day!
Here's to a Happy Children's day ahead and a good time on Democracy day. Lagos also turns 50 on the 27th (Saturday) Happy 50th Lagos! Let's continue thriving in excellence! Looking forward to 50 more years of excellence and prosperity! Love Lagos! Live Lagos!

I will be launching The Lagos Lesson Series next week! I was inspired by a picture I took on the streets this week.  It's curating statements/quotes that may be funny but speaks about our values as Lagosians and most especially as Africans. So if you have a picture of a Lagos lesson or come across one on the streets, please share by tagging #Livelagos #Lagoslessonseries. Follow my page to join the movement!

LIVE MUSIC FRIDAY NIGHT

Freedom hall presents Live Music Friday Night. The best of music in the right ambiance. It sure can serve as your pre friday night outing. Venue is Freedom park, Hospital road, Lagos Island.
FRIDAY NIGHT SERIES AT VELVETT
Honestly, I have not been to a Friday night series before but I have been to Velvett a couple of times and they do not disappoint! DJ Crowd Kontroller will also come through with magic. He plays at Fuse Music Unplugged Thusrdays so I am placing my bet on this one. If you love a cool clubbing experience and not the usual packed nightlife then Velvett is perfect. P.S they have quite tasty chicken wings too.
SILENT DISCO PARTY
What can I say, this is absolutely something everyone should experience. Silent disco is amazeballs. These guys rock. You really should come through. The fee is for headphones is 2k only and it is selling out real fast so make sure to RSVP! There will be two DJs.

Weekend already! I am really excited about this weekend!(I'm always excited every weekend! lol) There's a whole lot happening in Lagos this weekend. Let me warn you though! Chances are there would be lots of traffic on the island on Saturday because of the Eyo festival taking place at Tafawa Balewa square.
So you might want to schedule your outings till later in the evening. (Like me) You might want to attend the Eyo festival to experience the rich culture of Lagos! A superb way to LiveLagos!

P.S Look out for our weekend playlist!

Live Lagos;The right way.

GIDI! My fav G word! lol!
We are back to 'weekending' again. Too bad holidays are so not close. It's great to keep in mind that it's still all about making the most of the weekend any way.
The Lagos at 50 festivities are underway, and I'm really enjoying some of the events on the line up. There would be a basketball tournament on Friday at Teslim Balogun stadium. You might want to stop by if you're a bball lover. I will also be doing a giveaway on my Instagram page so be sure to follow by clicking here.
Anyway, here I am trying to be a good Lagosian by reading this awesome book I picked up from a colleague 'How to be a good Lagosian'. I think it's the perfect guide for anyone Living Lagos and should be translated into different local languages. ( that's if it hasn't been done already)
Here's to the Weekend Lagos! Let's #Live Lagos the 'right way'!
