Hello Lagos, it's time for the weekend to come through, so roll out the carpet and strut your stuff. It's so great to know that it's month end and some of y'all will be smiling at your paycheck by the weekend. 

This weekend is the very last one in the month and August just left me with mixed emotions. You definitely know Lagos gets all turned up by any weekend that falls at the month end, so there are countless activities in Lagos this weekend (they are all out for that paycheck you're smiling at). But hey! you should still get out and rock the weekend with friends without going above your means.

LEAP AT LEKKI COLISEUM

The Lekki African Expo is back at the Lekki coliseum this Thursday and its the Entertainment fair edition. It would be featuring performances from several artistes and of course sales of music products, artworks, promotions and more. So come around!  It's free!

WAJO AUGUST DANCE BATTLE
Wajo Lagos presents another edition of its dance battle. Who will be crowned Lord of the Stage? Come watch dance crews battle for prizes worth 150,000. It's all or nothing!

Starts at 6.30 pm at Freedom Park, Hospital Road, Lagos Island. Entry is free.

It's the third instalment of Falana's Pop-Up concert series. The Pop-Up Concert Series invites audiences to explore the stories, style and sounds of Falana live in concert. This edition would be taking place at Alara, 12A, Akin Olugbade street, Victoria Island this Friday. Tickets costs N5000 only.

FRIDAY NIGHT AT VELVETT 

Enjoy Friday night with FOMO at Velvett Lounge 19B, Idejo street off Adeola Odeku street, Victoria Island with music by Aye. 

MAXIVIVE SALES (THREE DAY EVENT)

COSMIC DREAMS AFRICA × DJ SOSE

Cosmic Dreams Africa is a monthly event that promotes electronic and house music. Dj Sose will be serving music policy at this edition.

ROOTS FESTIVAL

Bogobiri House will be hosting Roots, a night of expressing creativity and connecting with history and culture.  Dress code is Cultured!  Roots is brought to you by Coalition for Youth Development. 

Bogobiri House is located at Maitama Sule Street, Ikoyi. The event starts from 12 to 6pm and  entry is 1k only.

DRINKS, GRILL AND SEA

Come get turnt at Drinks, Grill and Sea.  It promises to be an unforgettable experience of good fun, games, grill and more. Venue is On the Deck, Elegushi Beach, Lekki. Cocktails served by Luxebars and Dj Neo will spinning the best jams. Entry costs N4000 inclusive of grill and cocktails. Event kicks off from 7pm.

 The Grill and Read book party is going to be a day of spoken word, book reading, and games and food.

 BAR BAR RADIO  (BAD GANG)
Bar Bar Radio presents Bad Gang, celebrating the birth of a monarch, the undisputed king of Pop. MJ! There will be Free Cocktails for ladies,  moonwalk ing competition and music from the 80s and 90's.  From 6pm up until 1am. Time to get turnt!

THE MUSIC LOUNGE
 The Music Lounge (TML) is a live music show which offers its stage to the best underground & upcoming artists in a setting fit for the most sophisticated and passionate art lovers. This edition will be featuring performances by Likkle, Tomi Owo, Obicci, Isaac Geralds and Funbi.

DRUMMER FEST
It's Drummerfest Beach Party at The Emporia beach. Activities include Face and body painting, volleyball, soccer, quad bike races, raffle draw , horse rides, Paintballing, limbo, food and drinks and more. There would also be bonfire which starts 5pm.
The Emkoria beach is off Abraham Adesanya road, ajah market bus-stop beside atican beach.
Entry fee is 1k only, expect the best mixes from DJ Yinnie, DJ Femo, DJ Latitude, DJ Nun, DJ Venom.
And guess what? There would be Free pickup and drop off buses from Ikeja Mall (ICM) , Unilag New hall and Palms Lekki

PALM WINE AND OTHER LOCAL DRINKS (TWO DAY EVENT)
Imagine a wine tasting event which exhibits not Red Wine or cocktails but local Nigerian Palm wine.  Come discover the various types of Nigeria's alcoholic drinks. Did someone say 'kpokiriyom'? Bottles of drinks will be on sale at the venue. Venue is 4, Olumo road, Parkview, Ikoyi from 1pm on Saturday and Sunday. Entry costs N3000

 CLASSIC HUNDRED
Classic hundred is showing it's classic movie and it's the Legendary 1961 movie, Breakfast at Tiffany's. I really can't wait to watch this movie, it was a major one for Audrey Hepburn. QUILOX POOL PARTY
The most anticipated summer party is here! Quilox Pool Party is back! The long awaited party takes place this Sunday at its usual spot, Tickle Bay by fourth roundabout, Lekki. FILM SUNDAYS
Film Sundays will be showing the movie Siyaahi at Stranger, 5,  Hakeem Dickson street, Lekki phase one. Siyaahi is the story of the coming of age of a young boy through his relationships and circumstances.
