Double dose of Weekend Fun!

 Phew! The long awaited weekend is here. We definitely know we are not the only one expecting this holiday. 

It's double dose of fun this weekend! We will be catching up on all the fun events around Lagos and also celebrating with our muslim friends.

There isn't so much happening as we have noticed, guess the rest of our time will be spent with our muslim brothers and our family members or for those who went on summer holidays they will be getting ready for resumption.

Arese Emokpae, Bucci Franklin, Funnybone, and more, attend the Touch by Asoebigirl pop-up shop at Sweet Kiwi, Lekki.

It was indeed a day of fun, shopping and yummy Sweet Kiwi yogurt, at the Touch by Asoebigirl pop-up sale which displayed items from the most recent collection - The Touch Woman.

The pop-up displayed pieces as seen on Arese Emokpae, such as the Sunflower Kimono, the Senami Culottes  jumpsuit and the exclusive 2 piece blue lace crop top and skirt, amongst others which displayed the different sides of the Touch woman.

Hello Weekend!

Summer is slowly coming to an end, we no longer have a lot of summer themed parties and a most of people are returning to their base after a sweet summer holiday. We didn't holiday because every day is a holiday for us. This weekend is looking good but next Weekend will be better! Issa Sallah Holiday!

Anyway, We are still in Jollof mood, so we advise that you storm that Owambe with your weekend best and treat yourself to some correct Jollof laced with firewood flavour!

Treat yourself at the Touch by Asoebi girl Pop up fashion shop this weekend

Asoebigirl who have recently launched a new arm called - Touch by Asoebigirl, a ready to wear line for the bold and confident woman, would be launching a new collection titled - The Touch Woman - which will be sold at the pop-up event.

After the success of the very first collection which was only released to a select group of people - The Wonderwoman collection, inspired by the Suits TV series character, Jessica Pearson (played by Gina Torres), it was only right to create an opportunity for members of the public to shop cool affordable pieces.

The event will take place this Sunday 20th August at Sweet Kiwi Admiralty Way Lekki Phase 1 and we expect the guests to be made up of renowned fashion influencers and fashion enthusiasts alike.

Weekend as sweet as Jollof!

Hey! It's a refreshing new weekend! 

We are still feeling summer vibes although its the last phase! There are still a few summer themed events you can attend. We are seriously anticipating Jollof Day *whoop! whoop!* which is on the 22nd by the way and there are already two events to prep us for the big day! Jollof day courtesy eatdrinkLagos, Maggi. We totally cant wait for Sunday when we will have the luxury of choosing from different jollof inspired delicacies. 

 We are also looking forward to a fantastic time with Jub trip on the 26th (next Saturday) It's a Lagos summer hangout which will include doing exploring Lekki conservation centre (if you haven't be there before, this is your chance) and also having a Karaoke session later on that same night at Shaunz Lounge. This week was all about celebrating the Legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti the creator of Afrobeat! It was the 20th anniversary of Fela's death on Wednesday, August 2nd. It's been a decade since his passing at age 59 and Fela has heavily influenced music, fashion, lifestyle all around the world till date.We have caught the Afro vibe through this as there's a lot of Black movement and appreciation on social media.

So this weekend we are vibing the Afrobeat way!
